Mexicans have their preferred e-commerce pages very well defined; Chief among these is the US-based e-commerce giant Amazon.


Six out of 10 consumers in Mexico have made at least one purchase on said platform during the previous twelve months from October 2021 to September 2022, according to a survey carried out by the Statista Global Consumer Survey.

Another of the preferred e-commerce pages of Mexicans is Mercado Libre, with 58% of the responses related to purchases.

Mercado Libre was surpassed for the first time by Amazon in the preference of the consumer public.


The third of the preferred e-commerce pages of Mexicans is Walmart, reaching 37% favoritism in the online market.

Liverpool is the fourth place, that's where 25% of consumers go.

Finally, fifth place goes to Coppel, being chosen by 22% of Mexican consumers.
