Seventeen containers that create awareness reaffirm the company's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
The purpose of the Maersk company is to support, respect and value differences, regardless of gender, gender expression, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or people with disabilities.
The container landed on August 12, at the Port of San Antonio. To bring the container closer to the company's clients and workers, an itinerary has been organized that represents the logistics integration of Maersk in the market, which includes refrigerated warehouses and deconsolidated cargo collection centers in central and southern Chile (San Antonio , Santiago, Talcahuano and Puerto Montt).
On August 26 and 27, the container will be on display at the CentroParque del Parque Araucano, Las Condes, as part of an event in collaboration with the client PUMA, so that the public can sign it and share their messages for a future of diversity, equity and inclusion.
“Discrimination prevents people from developing their full potential, generates inequality and less stable and prosperous societies. We also need diversity of thought to continue to improve and develop our business. Facilitating a culture in which everyone feels comfortable, respected and treated fairly, which is essential to achieve our goal of providing quality service to our clients and integrating the world by improving everyone's life”, emphasizes Scheigel-Huck.
In Latin America, the first rainbow container arrived in Brazil in early July, and additional units are touring Ecuador, Peru and Chile in August, raising awareness and reaffirming Maersk's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
